One thing we are trying to promote, and support is the rising popularity of Electric Vehicles, their demand has increased due to the environmentally friendly features and the greater range of vehicles available.
We offer a range of EV charging solutions for workplaces, public spaces, and homes, managing the operation from cradle to grave. When working with the client we must find the most efficient solution to meet their needs while considering many variables such as different vehicles, load balance and civil work needed.
Many companies are switching their fleet to electrical vehicles as it has many benefits to the business, its employees, and the environment. An electric fleet can contribute massively to achieving Net-zero as it can reduce a large amount of emissions produced, along with this upgrading your car fleet improves the business assets and image and helps reduce noise pollution.
Having EV charging solutions at the workplace can improve employee and customer satisfaction as it is another facility available and is more accessible for people with electric vehicles, as well it can be used to create another revenue stream as you can charge people to charge their vehicles. If a workplace has EV charging installed it will increase the chances of other staff buying electric vehicles in the future as they know the facilities are available.
Recycling and upcycling of furniture – Office Fit-out
Every so often a business will need to relocate and move office or refurbish their current office, to upsize or downsize or to upgrade their equipment. One way we try to benefit this process is by recycling and upcycling furniture, this means we reduce costs while benefitting the environment.
When we take furniture out of an office we look to see if we can save and reuse any furniture when possible. When it is still decent quality we will look to resell and use it again, for some pieces we can repair and clean up the furniture and when needed we strip them down to the raw materials and recycle it appropriately.
Printing
For many businesses and offices printing is necessary to its operation and functioning, printing off paperwork, marketing, contracts are essential for many businesses to run. At Sastech we aim to improve efficiency of printing and day to day operations using reliable equipment and technology and our managed print service that eases the duties on the business and staff.
To improve efficiency, we offer software that can help manage printing by adding rules, for example forcing grayscale, promoting double sided printing, print quotas and print chargebacks this all helps to reduce paper and toner usage helping reduce your footprint and emissions.
With new and more efficient machines on the market printers can now use less toner and require less energy meaning they are more energy efficient, as well many machines offer scanning capabilities to digitise your documents potentially reducing paper usage and keeping documents safe in case of any water or fire damage. Another way to reduce waste and emissions is to extend your printers life by keeping up to date software and proper maintenance and servicing.
Planting Trees
Another initiative we took is to partner with the Woodland trust to plant a tree for every invoice we create, the woodland trust aims to tackle climate change by planting trees and protecting and restoring woodlands and forests in the UK.
